The golf tourism has increased in Grand Canary almost 13% in 2010, while 113.000 players came to the island, according to the survey of the golf courses realized by the ISTAC (Institute of Statistical Canaries).The mayority of these tourists came in winter, almost 78 % and every tourist played an average of four times during their holidays on Grand Canaria.

The country that brought most golf tourists to the Island has been Germany, with 32.659 players, followed by the Northern Countries with almost 30.000 players.
