Fuerteventura
The 100 kilometers of sandy-white beaches, which turn the waters color to turquoise, are the reason why Fuerteventura is having the best beaches of the Canarian Archipelago. The perfect sand of these beaches, they do not come from the Sahara (as may tourist guides say), thus they are formed entirely by broken rinds and other remains of marine mammals.
Fuerteventura is usually very windy, although normally it is possible to find some calm beaches along the east coast. The western beaches, as the Cotillo, receive stronger winds and they are very popular by surfers, although also coves can be of the calmest close to where the lighthouse is situated.
